I love being a Murray Edwards College Wedding Photographer, particularly so for a super lovely couple like Lea & Vlad! Murray Edwards College is one of The University of Cambridge’s newer colleges. It doesn’t have the Harry Potter vibes of the older colleges in the city centre but it does have it’s own unique charm with pretty gardens, friendly staff and parking! It’s a great place for a wedding reception. I have shot loads of events at Murray Edwards college over the years and it was in fact at one of those post-grad events that Lea and Vlad saw me taking photos. As a postgrad student of Murray Edwards, Lea liked the idea of having their wedding reception at her friendly college.
They had a first look between themselves before the ceremony which was a really beautiful moment to capture. We enjoyed wandering around the grounds to get some photos in their favourite spots before walking down to St Giles church for their ceremony. Back at the college the sun was shining and the guests had a lovely time in The Fellow’s gardens before their wedding breakfast. Everyone was on the dancefloor in the Fellows Drawing Room to end the day on a massive high!
