Inn On The Lake Ullswater Wedding Photographer

I was so excited when Rachel and Tom asked me to be their Inn On The Lake Ullswater Wedding Photographer as I absolutely love the Lake District! Inn on The Lake is a truly magical location for a wedding. Set right on Ullswater itself, it is surrounded by stunning scenery that frankly took my breath away. The hotel boasts beautiful gardens and private jetties, making it the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding.

Inn On The Lakeis set amidst 15 acres of meticulously landscaped grounds that stretch all the way to the Lake. It’s a convenient location just 12 miles from the M6 motorway makes it easily accessible, and the drive to the hotel is nothing short of spectacular. As the winding road curves around the glistening lake, the awe-inspiring backdrop of the fells provides a stunning contrast.

The Hotel has 47 luxurious en-suite bedrooms many of which offer sweeping views of the majestic Helvellyn mountain. The best thing for me though was the Lake views. Absolutely stunning and perfect for some incredible wedding photos. Rachel and Tom had an outdoor ceremony in the pergola which I’d highly recommend. They also said yes to a tour on Ullswater on a big steamer boat with all of their guests. What an amazing way to break up a wedding day and add something unique and fun for everyone! Everyone loved it.

Their party was immense with Simon Vogt on the turntables. All-in-all a brilliant wedding! Rachel & Tom

Rachel and Tom are good friends of mine so this wedding was a particularly fun one for me. I even had my fiancée (now wife – we were married a week later!) with me for the boat tour and evening reception which was lovely. I’ve known Rachel since we were at York Uni together in 2003. She is as lovely as she looks in these photographs. Fun-loving and with a heart of gold. I first met Tom in Australia which is where they both first met. We went for a walk along Bryon Bay, Tom strangely speaking in an American accent despite not being American! It turned out he was auditioning of an American part in a film and needed the practice. Like Rachel, Tom is also a fun-loving, lovely guy so it was an absolute delight to witness and capture their wedding day for them.
