Catie & Dustie’s Godwick Great Barn Wedding Photography

Catie & Dustie spoke those magic words that I love hearing from couples that book me, “We like your style of taking natural shots that capture the day, rather than too many staged photos.” Couple that with an amazing Norfolk venue like Godwick Great Barn & Hall and I am a very happy chappy indeed! The actual day however proved to be even better than I had hoped. Catie & Dustie are not only laid back and super lovely but so too were their many friends and family. Furthermore they all certainly knew how to party! This Godwick Great Barn Wedding was one I wouldn’t be forgetting in a hurry…

Catie got ready at Godwick Hall where they and some of their guests were staying. She didn’t want me to take getting ready shots so I spent some time taking in Godwick Great Barn. The barn itself is absolutely stunning and full of rustic character. A short walk away is the infamous medieval arch that was once part of a church tower. The setting was superb but the weather however was looking a bit iffy… The sky was full of dark stormy clouds on one side of me but brilliant blue and cloudless on the other. It could have gone either way! Fortunately for Catie and Dustie the rain held out whilst they had their outdoor ceremony. Instead, it rained hard straight afterwards! Which was absolutely fine as the guests could enjoy drinks and canapes inside the barn.

We got the group shots done super quickly after the rain cleared. Catie, Dustie and I then walked to the arch to get a few shots of just the two of them. They were so full of joy and romance, I absolutely loved capturing them enjoying each others company for a few minutes away from the crowd. After about 10 minutes or so headed back to their guests and celebrated! Drinks, speeches, gorgeous food and one epic party!!
