Mayfair, London. The best spot on the Monopoly board and the location for this gorgeous wedding set at The University Women’s Club. I first met Judith and Deborah however in much humbler, although just as lovely surroundings. Sat on their couch with their lovely cat Shadow purring at my ankles, they told me how much they enjoyed seeing Chris & Russ’ wedding photos and went on to share their vision for their wedding day at the University Women’s Club. The very same club that Dame Judi Dench, no less, was a member. I was thrilled that they wanted me to be their wedding photographer. It sounded, and it was, amazing. Surrounded by their lovely friends and family, the ceremony was both moving and jubilant; the speeches had that magic mix of humour and heartfelt honesty; and the food was to die for! It was a fantastic day which also included a surprise in the form of the amazing Mike King Collective choir. Absolutely incredible. Thank you Deborah and Judith for asking me to be your University Women’s Club wedding photographer and inviting me to your special day. Thank you also very much for the really lovely review. I’ve posted your kind words underneath these photos.
“I guess most brides consider their wedding day the happiest day of their life, one filled with love and laughter and an awful lot of hugs. And because it goes by in a blur, many moments can be missed or forgotten while you are busy trying to remember your lines or fretting over whether your suit has started to unravel or thinking about how happy you are to be surrounded by so much love. You are, at times, blissfully oblivious to the fact that about 100 guests are staring at you, let alone a photographer. And then you get the pictures from Winston, and you realise that your wedding day was not just a dream, it really did happen. And it was as you remembered it – full of sheer and utter joy. To capture that joy is a gift, and Winston has it. He was at all times wonderful to work with – very charming, always smiling, never obtrusive and yet seemingly always in the right place at the right time. And he made such an impression that some guests wanted his photograph! I can’t recommend him, or thank him, enough. We simply love his work.”
