Wellington Wood Wedding Photographer
I love being a Wellington Wood Wedding Photographer. It is such a special outdoor festival vibe kinda venue. Personally I love being amongst woodland – it instantly makes me feel calm and at peace. As a Norfolk wedding photographer who lives right next to Mousehold Heath, I instantly feel at home at Wellington Wood nestled into the northern edge of Thetford Forrest. The lovely Vicky and Paul have created something incredible here with not one but four different ceremony areas. Maddie and Ben’s wedding featured here took place in The Larch. A great safe option if you’re concerned how the weather will be on your wedding day.
Maddy & Ben asked me to take both photos and film of their gorgeous wedding. You can find some of my favourites photos from their day here along with a highlight film that I made for them below. These were both captured by myself solo ensuring minimal intrusion and a cost effective way to capture their day with both photography and videography.
On arrival, I found Maddy, her bridesmaids and cute dog putting the finishing touches to their table plans in the lovely giant hat tipis before they returned to the forrest cottage. They were in great spirits which continued throughout the whole day. This Wellington Wood wedding had such a great joyous vibe! I also briefly met Ben and his groomsmen at the Larch before rejoining the girls at the forrest cottage for the big reveal to the father of the bride. So nice!
Their ceremony in the larch was gorgeous and I particularly enjoyed capturing their confetti with both photos, video and a drone video from above! Their super chilled drinks reception flowed effortlessly into the wedding breakfast and speeches. Dining was like the rest of the day – super relaxed with a food truck serving up delicious paella. Maddy and Ben wanted to spend the absolute minimum time getting couple photos but were keen to spend 5 minutes with me whilst the sun was setting to get some lovely natural shots of them enjoying each others company. They’re some of my favourite photos from their day and a brilliant addition to their highlight film too.
The evening ended with a dancefloor full of happy bridesmaids, groomsmen and family members having the best time. I particularly enjoyed capturing some sweet moments of Maddy dancing with her grandad.
My Wedding Photography Style
My main aim as a photographer for a Wellington Wood Wedding is to capture all the emotions from your wedding as it happens so that you can re-live your special day again and again and feel all those feelings again. I’m smiley and super friendly which will help you and your guests feel completely at ease with me capturing your day. I also love to capture a few stunning couple portraits which is really easy to do at a place like Wellington Wood! It is so pretty there! Images full of joy are my passion so I edit them in a natural, colourful way to compliment the joyful scenes. I want you to feel the happiness you felt on your day as you look at your photos.
