I’ve known Amelia for over 20 years and she is a great friend. A wonderful person with a huge heart and is massively fun to be around. I was thrilled to be asked to be her and Angus’ Herne Hill Wedding Photographer for the day. Being the wedding photographer for your friend’s wedding is always greatly humbling and a real honour. Angus, another extremely kind and caring fella, complements Amelia perfectly. I had no doubts about the awesomeness of their future. I did however have one worry for the actual wedding day and that was the size of the venue they had chosen. The Brockwell Park Lido whilst an iconic and a slightly quirky choice of wedding venue sounded like a great idea initially, on visiting it I discovered that the cafe area is very small. However, I was proven wrong – it wasn’t too small. In fact for Amelia and Angus’ wedding, it was perfect and despite the odd bit of rain, the weather was almost perfect too! It was lovely spending a bit of time with Amelia, Angus and my super photography assistant in the lovely Brockwell Park after the ceremony. We found a few awesome locations for some quick photos before getting back to the party. The bench was my favourite. Simple but very effective. They were kept from their friends and family for no more than an hour before the socialising commenced and the food and speeches were served. The food was exquisite – highly recommended. Great service too. All in all an excellent day. I absolutely loved being Amelia and Angus’ Herne Hill Wedding Photographer and hope to shoot at this venue again sometime.
